MEET OUR PROFESSIONAL MEMBER

Anna Breimer

I believe the world needs better leaders. And I believe the next generation of leaders is already in the room; they just haven't had a fair chance to rise yet. Leadership potential is everywhere. It's just wildly underdeveloped. That's why I do what I do.

I work with leaders and organizations who don't just want to survive disruption and change; they want to thrive in it, own it, and lead next. I'm positive about the potential the future holds. And so are the people I work with.

What I bring to the room is unique. From my time with McKinsey, I bring rigor: The discipline to cut through complexity, identify what actually matters, and build solutions that hold up under pressure. From my training as an architect, I bring creative thinking: The ability to create something from nothing, to see structure and possibility at the same time, and to build things that are both bold and functional. And underneath all of it, I bring a deep belief that leadership is fundamentally about people: Their courage, their growth, and their capacity to become something they didn't know they were capable of yet. That combination is what shapes me as a leadership expert.

Before founding The Breimer Group, I was a Senior Expert and Associate Partner in the Organization Practice of McKinsey & Company in Singapore. Earlier in my career I led growth strategy for Philips across Asia Pacific and worked for a modular building manufacturer as their Head of Innovation in the Netherlands. I am the creator of Tomorrow College, dedicated to helping the leaders of tomorrow discover, develop and step into their full potential — and Courageous Teams, a teamwork solution for organizations ready to do the hard work together.

Organizations including Meta, Sephora, HP, Visa, Singtel, Citi and many enterprises, scale-ups and startups trust me to work with their leaders, and I've spoken at major events including the Singapore Fintech Festival and leadership forums across Asia and beyond. I'm also a visiting lecturer at INSEAD, NUS Business School, Nanyang Business School, ESSEC and USC Marshall School of Business, where I teach about leadership in a world of disruption.

I hold an MBA from INSEAD (with exchange at Kellogg/Northwestern University) and an MSc in Architecture and Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where I graduated with honors. I completed the ICF core coaching curriculum and hold the Executive Group Coaching accreditation from the Kets de Vries Institute in London. I was named Most Promising Student of The Netherlands in 2006.

I'm originally from The Netherlands and an Overseas Citizen of India. Singapore, where I am a Permanent Resident, is the country I have called home since 2012. I live the borderless, future-of-work life I speak about: travelling and working across continents with my husband and our three children. The world is my classroom. It It's the best education I know.
