Romancing The Media

Andrew Chow was a very engaging speaker who shared his personal experience of romancing the media and shared tips on how we could do the same.

Andrew began by highlighting how important the media is for professional speakers and trainers and focused on using radio as a medium to market and grow your brand, specifically using 938Live radio station. He gave an overview of the key talk progammes on 938Live! and the different things they covered.

Andrew went on to share some insights:

1. He told us about the different working styles of different producers for example, Jenny and Eugene Low
2. He gave us examples of hot topics that the radio station is interested in, such as parenting and Generation Y
3. He gave us some good advice that we need to listen to the radio and become familiar with the presenters, the content and overall format of the show.
4. Andrew also highlighted to us that we should use any appearance on these radio shows as good PR as opposed to a great new business generator.

Overall, the talk was very well conducted and Andrew answered all the questions in a very professional way. I do hope that Andrew can come back again to share further points on this subject.
