How to be more Innovative and Humorous

Presenter: Leonard Zuzarte

Reviewed by Ken Wong

Leonard was the first speaker for the evening and he showed us how you can use photographs and images to inject humour into your presentation.

He started his talk by actually taking photos of the audience. He asked us to do the “Thumbs Up”, “The Size” and “the Lick” and weobediently followed. Then he cleverly revealed the dangers of doing that by showing what he could do with technology, and shared a series of ‘Photoshopped’ photos. In one, he showed two men showing the thumbs up but in the background twoturtles were copulating. In another photo, he showed a man licking the boots of the boss.

The photos were really funny and generated a lot of laughter from the audience. Leonard also showed examples of bad and good photos taken by others and how the bad photos could be manipulated to send a totally different message.

He showed us that the intelligent use of photos could make the session lively and engaging. Overall, this short session was highly interactive and very enjoyable.
