Spirit of Service Presidents’ Award

This is awarded to a person who has been of immeasurable support to the President for that calendar year. The nominees and the recipient for this award will be selected in January each year by the two Presidents of that calendar year. These two Presidents will inform their decision to active past Presidents to obtain a supporting quorum. It is highly likely, but not a specific requirement, that a member of the Board of Directors will receive this award.

Spirit of Service Award

This is awarded to a member of APSS who has served the Association in an outstanding way during the year and has demonstrated dedication to the Association.

2010-2011 Awards

Spirit of Service Presidents’ Award

The 2010-11 Presidents’ Award was presented to Shirley Taylor. Tim Wade (President 2010-11) sums up the reason why: "You absolutely deserved this. And I mean that in the complete etymological sense of the word 'deserve' (which is derived from the Latin meaning "of service'). The amount of work, effort, help and time that you willingly gave to support both Nishant and me during our Presidencies was worth much more than an award can convey. Congratulations and thank you!"

Congratulations to Michael Podolinsky CSP on receiving the inaugural Spirit of Service Award in recognition of his great contribution to APSS in organising the first Raise your Game 2010. 

Congratulations to Scott Friedman CSP on receiving the Spirit of Service Award as a thank you for being such a great help for many years, especially in bringing such great convention speakers.
